Brief information on reconstruction (construction) of “Almaty-Kokpek-Shonzhy-Koktal-Khorgos” road, km 0-304,4.

The length of the road in Almaty region of "Almaty-Khorgos" is 304.4 km, there are 462 pcs. of culverts, 96 bridges and overpasses.

The road is designed for I B technical category, with an estimated speed of 120 km/h, with 4 lanes and 5m wide median strip, and with cement concrete pavement.

Designed "Almaty-Khorgos" road section passes through the territories of Ili, Talgar, Enbekshikazakh, Uigur and Panfilov districts of Almaty region, bypassing the city of Almaty in the North-East direction from km 24 of "Almaty-Oskemen" road with access to the border of China in the same corridor with the railroad "Zhetigen-Khorgos". The coordinates of the docking of the international transit corridor at the border are agreed with representatives of the Chinese authorities, border guards and customs control.

3. Subbase - 211.5 km

4. Subgrade - 20,040,220 m3
