Work progress in Kyzylorda region within the framework of “Western Europe – Western China” project

Overpass at the transport interchange PK 196+00. Concrete form structural assembly of cast-in-situ superstructure

Out of 15 lots in Kyzylorda region, only works at lot 7 are not completed, but which is scheduled to be completed till the end of autumn 2015. At the moment such works like embankment filling of subgrade at the ramps PK 163+85, PK 178+11, PK206+78; site inspection before CSMA paving PK 0+00-PK50+00; binding course construction of 12 cm PK 434+60-PK442+00; Handrails installation at bridge No. 12 PK 459+85; reinforcing of beams at overpass PK 196+53.02 are being held on lot 7.

Earthworks, Subbase, Lower layer base C-4 are executed for 100 %; upper layer base is executed for 99%; binder course 10 cm – 91%; wearing course CSMA – 0%.

There are 161 units of equipment and machinery and 422 personnel working at site.

Moreover, works are being executed at Kyzylorda bypass under Road maintenance depot construction. Under other sections works have been completed and road is open for traffic but State commission’s acceptance has not been given yet, since defects liability period (2 years) is still valid.

Also it is important to notice that Road service facilities in Kyzylorda region are being constructed in accordance with international standards and refer to category B & C. Since 2014 Road service has been operating near Korkyt-ata memorial complex with petrol station, motel, restarant, and vehicle service station.
