Channel 7 (TV). Trunk Road “Western Europe – Western China” will be completed in 2013

Today Senators supported provision of another tranche for financing of the construction of the trunk road “Western Europe – Western China”. Members of Parliament have touched upon the recent protests of the residents for South-Kazakhstan Oblast in their discussions regarding central transport geoproject of Kazakhstan. Those farmers try to receive compensation for the lands, acquired from them. Deputies have checked, who is responsible for procrastination, and learned, that country is going to complete construction of transit corridor already in 2013. Rustem Rahimov , in details.  

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport today are reporting for mega-project of Transit Corridor “Western Europe – Western China”. The first comment of Senators is why such important and significant project was introduced to the Parliament by the directors of the departments, but not by the ministers themselves. 

Gani Kassymov, Deputy of Senate of Parliament of the RK: 

“Projects, which consider 100, 200, 300 million. Which are connected with loans, credits, with obligations, for years with interest, so that there were first leaders there. This is the requirement of the Law, call of the Constitution. Why are we speaking now on the level of the directors of the departments …” 

The third tranche, that is another money for the construction of the section for transit road, has been provided by the Government of Japan. Last tragedies did not prevent our partners from provision of $77 million to Kazakhstan. Such responsibility cannot be compared with the actions of our officials at places. 

Mulhtar Altynbayev, Deputy of Senate of Parliament of the RK: 

“The places of passing the route have not been determined, and local population is not aware of whether they will start their spring field work or not”.  

Nurlanbek Omirbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Roads, MTC RK: 

“There is a map in each rural Akimat of Zhambyl Oblast, SKO and Zhambyl Oblast, and each rural Akim, he is instructed, how the road will pass, and these are his responsibility to familiarize any private owner with passing of this corridor throughout their territory, their rural district”. 
The law in draft was approved. Road construction is in progress. Transit corridor is planned to finalize in the end of 2013. Finance for laying the trunk road will be taken as a loan – that would be more convenient. That is, transit topic will be heard more. Maybe, because of this, today Kairat Mami, our new Speaker, addressed his colleagues with special speech. Approving ratification of the law in draft, Chairman Kairat Mami has said, that he hopes for the productive work and support of his colleagues in Chamber.
