It is planned to repair about 30 thousand kilometers of road in Kazakhstan till 2020. This was reported by Mr. Zhenis Kassymbek, First Deputy Minister for Investment and Development, during a briefing at the Central communication services - delivers BNews.kz correspondent.

"As part of the development program until 2020 it is planned to repair about 30 thousand kilometers of road. To achieve these indicators it is planned to implement a number of major projects. "Western Europe-Western China" project is at the stage of completion. Out of the total length - more than 8,000 km; 2,800 km passes through the territory of Kazakhstan. 1727 km of road has been already reconstructed since the beginning of the project. Until the end of this year, another 157 km will be completed. We plan to open traffic on the section from Shymkent to the border of the Russian Federation", - he said.

In his speech, the First Vice-Minister said that according to the instructions of the President   last year project implementation was launched in three directions - Center-South, Centre-East and Center-West. This corridor will help revitalize all international routes passing through the center of the republic and a 1.5-fold increase in traffic volumes by vehicles by 2020.

"BACH (Big Almaty circular highway) project is a big fundamentally important project, with the length of 65.5 km. Project is approved as a concession. Technical documentation is fully completed, today a final agreement is being proceeded with the PPP Center. Announcement of tender for the selection of the concessionaire is scheduled for December this year", - said Mr. Zh.Kassymbek.
