TALDYKORGAN. KAZINFORM – Almaty-Kapshagai road is being constructed within the framework of «Nurly zhol» state program.

According to the Press Service of regional akim, construction works are being carried out on three sections of Almaty-Kapshagai road. Road reconstruction on km 14-35 is being conducted by the general contractor "K-Dorstroy" JSC; work cost is 13,089.6 million tenge. In 2015, 7.737 million tenge will be disbursed.

The second road reconstruction on the section km 45-77 is being conducted by the general contractor "Concern" Naiza-Kurylys" LLP, the contract cost is 20389.44 million tenge, in 2015, 6776.79 million tenge will be disbursed. Herewith, 5 overpasses, 2 bridges, 1 cattle pass, 3 underpasses will be constructed. The equipment and machinary number, involved at the road is 240 units, and the technical staff has 362 persons.

From km 77 to km 118 construction is being conducted by the general contractor «Todini Central Asia» LLP. 63 kilometer of Almaty-Kapshagai road will be reconstructed under the 6-lane carriageway, the remaining 41 kilometers – under 4-lane. The road will be constructed according to the standards of the I technical category with cement concrete pavement. On Kapshagai-Taldykorgan road, which will be asphalt concrete, works are being carried out on 6 sections. Overall, at the end of 2015 on Almaty-Taldykorgan road 94 km of the road will be put into operation and uninterruptable passage of vehicles in one lane from Almaty to Taldykorgan will be provided.

On "Western Europe-Western China" International road corridor section the traffic on 150 km of road with cement concrete pavement will be opened in two directions this year. Full completion of works is planned for 2016. On the road reconstruction project about 2.5 million units of road-building equipment and 6 thousand people are mobilized. In Almaty region the length of this international alignment section makes 462 kilometers.

In general, throughout Kazakhstan in 2015 are being carried out works on the road reconstruction on 2173 km, from which at year-end passage on 667 km will be opened and 578 km put into permanent operation.
