Afghanistan follows the example of Kazakhstan in construction and inspection of roads

Representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Reconstruction and Rural Development, as well as the Ministry of Transport of Afghanistan familiarized themselves with the work of the Kazakhstan Road Scientific and Research Institute.

The delegation has taken training on the topic “Systems and programs, inspection methods, new materials and pricing methods in the road industry”. The guests got acquainted with the 60-year history of KazdorNII and the Institute's wide cooperation geography. Static testing and multifunctional mobile laboratories, as well as HDM4 software were of particular interest.

The urban road network and bridges control systems, new technologies in the construction and operation of roads have been demonstrated to Afghanistan road workers. In addition, KazdorNII’s experts shared their experience in testing road construction materials using modern equipment. At the same time, as part of a four-day training program, guests got acquainted with Toll Road System on asphalt concrete and cement concrete roads. After the visit, representatives of Afghanistan will be able to apply KazdorNII’s modern and effective methods to ensure the highest possible level of roads in their country.

It is worth to note that the Kazakhstan Road Scientific Research Institute systematically provides trainings to specialists in the road industry in Kazakhstan and other countries. So, in December 2019, KazdorNII shared their experience in diagnostics and conditioning of roads with representatives of the Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Transport and Roads.
