On the 26th of August, Mr. Berik Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications, familiarized with progress of construction works for the road sections of Kyzylorda Oblast of the Project “Western Europe – Western China”.
References: The length of the road section for reconstruction in Kyzylorda Oblast for the Project of International Transit Corridor “Western Europe – Western China” is 812 km. The project provides transfer of 245 km of the road into I B technical category with 4 lanes, other road sections for the length of 567 km are transferred into II technical category.
At present the construction works are executed for all road sections by 5 Main Contractors JSC “Salini”, JV “Akkord/Okan”, JSC “Impresa”, JSC “Azercorpu” and JSC “Todnini”, as well as 26 Subcontractors. Reconstruction of the road section is implemented by loan of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
More than 16 thousand people, including local staff of 9.4 thousand people and from other regions 6.4 thousand people have been involved in the construction works. 3 thousand units of road-building equipment have been mobilized. 500 km of the corridor are planned to construct in this region in the current year.
The Minister visited the road sections of the companies “Todini”, “Azercorpu”, “Akkord/Okan”, “Impresa”, “Salini”, where he met with working collectives, Engineer Services, familiarized with execution of timing schedules and was interested in the work for elimination of the remarks, mentioned before.
Finalizing stage for visit is the meeting with the participation of Mr. Bolat Kuandykov, Akim of Kyzylorda Oblast, on the 27th of August, with the participation of the representatives of local executive bodies, Project Managers of Contractors and Subcontractors, as the Press-Service of the Ministry informs.
