Berik Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications, took part in XXXII meeting of Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders of CIS countries.
On the 6th of October, 2011, Berik Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications of the RK, took part in XXXII meeting of Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders of CIS countries (ICR), which was held in the Palace of Peace and Agreement of Astana city.
References: Council was established aiming at the development of cooperation of the states-participants of CIS in the sphere of designing. The main task of this branch intergovernmental body is the development and improvement of the network for roads of common use, establishment of conditions for more complete use of the production and scientific-technical potential of road institutions, rendering support for governments’ efforts in implementation of coordinated road policy and intensification of integration procedures, as well as the increase of the level for training of the staff.
At XXXII meeting of ICR the matters of improvement of standard base for road economy of CIS countries have been discussed, the results of implementation of the Protocol about international road of CIS and their development at the approach to the borders of adjacent states have been considered.
Also the matter of introduction of innovation technologies by associated members of council has been considered. During the discussion it was mentioned that wide and efficient submission of innovation decisions has been provided while conducting of the specialized workshops and exhibitions in the CIS countries.
During the second half of the day, after completion of the meeting, International Scientific-Practical Conference “Innovation Development of International transit Corridor” has been held.
Also, in connection with celebration in the current year of the 20th anniversary of CIS, Council conducts a number of arrangements, devoted to this event. Here the 8th International Exhibition “KazAvtoDor-2011” has been included, which was held in the exhibition complex “Korme” of Astana city on the 5th -7th October 2011. Conducting of the 2nd International Specialized Exhibition-forum “Road” (12-15 October, Moscow), International Scientific-practical conference “20 years of Community of Independent States” (4th quarter of the year, Minsk), “Weeks of CIS” in the CIS states have been also timed to the above anniversary.
