“Shymkent – Tashkent” project with the length of 101 km is being implemented under “Western Europe – Western China” International Transit Corridor under Technical Category I. Reconstruction of this section will allow increase the cargo traffic between two countries, traffic volume increase as well as road users safety improvement.
Cement concrete pavement is stipulated under the project; the works are being carried out by foreign Contractors as “Todini/Impregilo/Akkord” (Italy/Italy/Azerbaijan), “Sinohydro” (China), “Evrascon” (Azerbaijan).
Today works under cement concrete pavement, construction of base course, subbase, subgrade and engineering structures are being conducted on road sections.
Work performance is according to approved work program. It is planned to complete all works in 2016.
