Reconstruction of km 160-220 Aktobe-Atyrau-Astrakhan republican road section is proceeding. The road workers are carrying out the works on 60 kilometers of the road according to the plan.

The coarse-grained asphalt concrete courses are currently being constructed, bringing the road up to the Category II with a 9-metered carriageway. Reconstruction of this road section involves about 175 workers and 116 Nos. of Equipment. The General Contractor Todini Costruzioni Generali S.p.A. carries out construction works on the site, technical supervision is carried out by Consult Engineering and ZS Engineering.

This year, three sections with total length of 154 km of Aktobe-Atyrau-Astrakhan road will be open for traffic, including km 160-220, km 236-275 and km 275-330,.

To racap, the length of republican roads in the region is 1,892 kilometers. Today, about 70% of them are in good and satisfactory condition.
