Speaking at the forum to attract private investment into infrastructure, Mr. Satzhan Ablaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Roads MID RK, told about the construction of the largest PPP project in Kazakhstan, i.e. Big Almaty Circular Highway (BACH).

Construction and operation of BACH is planned to be implemented on the basis of public-private partnership with the use of concession.

The scheme involves the construction of a toll road by concessionaire in 4.5 year period (2015-2019) with the subsequent operation for 15.5 years (2019-2034).

As you know, BACH is a key element of "Western Europe - Western China" transit corridor. Road length of 66 km will be built in the I technical category with 4 and 6 lanes and cement concrete pavement. The project also includes the construction of 21 bridges, 19 viaducts and 12 interchanges.
