This year it is planned to repair 473 thousand square meters of the roads of republican significance. The work is being carried out as part of a comprehensive targeted program aimed at restoring the road pavement and ensuring safety.

Thus, patching in Almaty oblast will be carried out on 60 square kilometers of the road pavement. At the moment, work is being carried out on the roads that lead to the main tourist and economic clusters of the region in such directions as “Almaty - Talgar - Baidibek Bi”, “Almaty - Shelek – Khorgos”.

In this regard, employees of “Kazakhavtodor” held a press tour of these road sections. During the tour, the participants got acquainted with the work progress on the current patching of the road pavement.

According to “Kazakhavtodor” specialists, today work is underway to eliminate the wheel track and comb on 92,800 square meters of the road, the installation and replacement of about 10,000 road signs and about 400 information panels have begun. It is planned to install more than 23,000 signal poles and arrange about 2,700 square meters of noise strips. Road markings will be applied on 30,426 km of the carriageway. The installation of 336 meters of railings on bridges, about 27,000 reflectors and 290 road buffers is also underway.

During the press tour, questions were also raised regarding the exit of livestock onto the carriageway. So, for the first quarter of 2022, 11 accidents were recorded, in which 15 people were injured and three died. In this regard, employees of the companies installed 855.331 km of protective fences along the roads of republican significance.
