In 2018, the implementation of 23 projects will continued and the 4.2 thousand km of republican roads will be covered by reconstruction. This was stated by Roman Sklyar, the first Vice-Minister for investments and development of the RoK, speaking at Ministry's panel session. According to him, this year it is planned to open traffic on 528 km of reconstructed roads. (Center-East - 233 km, Center-South - 45 km, Uralsk-Kamenka - 35 km, Beineu-Akzhigit - 85 km, Almaty-Taldykorgan - 16 km, Korday bypass - 19 km, Astana-Petropavlovsk - 20 km , Taskesken-Bakhty - 20 km, Shchuchinsk-Zerenda - 20 km, Taldykorgan-Ust-Kamenogorsk - 20 km, Kalbatau-Maykapshagai - 9 km, South-West bypass of Astana - 6 km).
“To maintain the technical condition of the republican roads, this year it is planned to repair 179 km of road sections, of which 104 km and 32 bridges (overpasses, overground pedestrian crossings and culverts) will be put into operation. In addition, an average repair will cover 1,544 km of roads, of which 644 km with the use of cold recycling technology”, Roman Sklyar noted.
Also this year, the first concession project in the road industry - construction of the BACH will be commenced. Currently, Contract has been signed with the consortium "Alsim Alarko - Makiyol - SK - Korea Express Way". The commencement of construction work is planned in the first half of the year.
“In the second quarter of this year, it is planned to test the charging system on the following road sections: Astana-Temirtau (132 km), Almaty-Kapshagai (42 km) and Almaty-Khorgos (295 km) with a total length of 469 km. In addition, the design estimate documentation is being developed for the installation of a charging system for 5,5 thousand km, including on "Western Europe-Western China" international corridor, the implementation of which is planned at the expense of the investor under the mechanism of public-private partnership”, emphasized the First Vice-Minister. As part of the implementation of the President's Message on increasing the financing of repair and reconstruction of the local network roads, the Ministry together with the Akimats of the regions worked out a set of measures. To this end, this year it is planned to allocate additional KZT 60 billion on a parity basis from the republican and local budgets. These measures will cover over 4,000 km of repair work and by 2025 improve the condition of the local network in a good and satisfactory condition to 85%.
