Mr. Kussainov Abelgazi, Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan, conducted the meeting with Mr. Slavomir Novak, the President of the company «Mirbud-Kazakhstan» of Republic Poland, on March 11, 2011.

The Leader of the company «Mirbud-Kazakhstan» informed that their main activity is execution of civil and erection works for road maintenance and construction, as well as the objects of industrial and civil construction. The company undertakes the task of increasing the volume of investments into construction and maintenance of roads, developing cooperation in this sphere.

Minister Kussainov A. noted that Kazakhstan is concerned in participation of foreign companies in project implementation for reconstruction of a number of road objects of the Republic, and proposed some objects as possible variants of Polish builders’ participation. Reconstruction of the road Beineu – Aktau with the length of 470 km will start on account of loan of Asian Bank for Development in 2012. Tendering will be announced for reconstruction of 4-lane section in concrete “Astana – Karaganda” with the length of 238 km in May 2011. Mixed form of finance attraction is expected: loans and concession. Tendering will be announced for one of the most intensive sections of the country “Almaty – Kapshagai” in October-November of the current year. In addition, Polish company can participate in the construction of transport-logistic centers of Kazakhstan. The parties agreed to continue negotiations on Experts’ level soon.
