- 46 billion tenge have been planned to disburse for construction of Zhambyl section of International Transit Corridor “Western Europe – Western China” in 2011.

Correspondent of Kazinform was informed about that in the Road Department of the Ministry of transport and Communications of the RK for Zhambyl Oblat. It will allow make the coating of 310 kilometers of modern high-quality roads.

Procurement of not less than 50% of annual demand in road-building materials has been planned to provide till the beginning of the construction season.

At present Contractors has procured 440 m3 of the crushed stone, which corresponds to 39% of annual demand, about 2 million m3 of gravel sand mix (62%), 13 thousand m3 of reinforced concrete (86%).

Also, at the moment Contractors execute the works for repair of seven bridges, five culverts and one interchange, as they informed in the department.

We would remind you that the length of the Kazakhstan section of transcontinental corridor “Western Europe – Western China” is 2 787 км, из которых реконструкции подлежат 2 452 km. 480 km of International Transit Corridor have been subjected to reconstruction in Zhambyl Oblast.
