Delay in construction of Zhambyl section of transit road Western Europe – Western China has been explained by actions at law at the Ministry of Transport, as “Seventh Channel” tells.  

Azat Bekturov, Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications, noted, that the procedure of litigation is “sufficiently bureaucratic”. They drag the period and do not allow us to start construction for these particular sections. Therefore, with the point of view of the Ministry, we will work with Akimat of SKO, with Akim of the district for solution of all the above problems. Both with specific tenants and litigation”, - representative of the Department told.

Bekturov noted that the construction can start in June 2011. He told that the department receives a lot of complaints from farmers, whose arable lands are located on the territory of future road. Some of them have not received compensation, others did not see the plan of the construction and do not know whether their land will be used. They cannot grow crops because of waiting for resolution. 

In the meantime, the department notes that benchmark was determined before, and compensation has been paid in Akimats.
