At the plenary session of the Kazakhstan senate, first for himself as its chairman, Kajrat Mami has told to colleagues about the tasks and plans of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament of the RK.

The speaker considers industrially-innovative development of economy and support of small and average business as the most important sectors of legislative support. The social sphere and development of law-enforcement and judicial systems also need great attention of members of the Parliament.

Kajrat Mami has expressed confidence that the Deputy Corps will give particular attention to the priorities, designated by the Head of the State in his message to the people of Kazakhstan, and also in his statements on inauguration after election as the Head of the State and at the enlarged session of the government.

The new head of the senate has thanked his colleagues for unanimous support and the trust, rendered at his election for the post of the Chairman of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament.

– I consider it an honor to work with such authoritative public and statesmen like you, who brought the huge contribution to formation of the independent sovereign state, – Kajrat Mami has told. – «Advice is the best assistant» – says popular wisdom. Therefore I will apply all forces for the further continuation of activity of the Senate together with you for the sake of the bright future for our sovereign country.

At the first session under the chairmanship of the new Speaker deputies have considered and ratified a number of the international documents. Among them there is an agreement between Japanese agency of the International Cooperation and Government of the RK about involving of a loan for reconstruction of Transit Corridor CAREC. It has been concluded in December, 2010 and assumes allocation on implementation of the above Project for 173 million dollars, has reminded Acting Minister of Transport and Communications, Erkyn Djusenbaev. The loan is given for 19 years, including a four-year grace period.

– Means will be directed for construction of 98 kilometers of a roadbed, including sections for detour of pass Kordaj, a highway Otar – Blagoveshchensk and approach to the border of Kyrgyzstan, to Kordaj – Karasu, – Djusenbaev has specified.

After completion of already started procedure of Contractors’ selection on the basis of the international competitive tenders, MinTransCom plans to start Civil Work for these sections in June of the current year.
