The Head of Transport Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed his hope that on the threshold of the official visit of the President of the Republic Korea, Lee Myon Bak to Kazakhstan this meeting will enable further development of mutually beneficial partnership between two countries. During the meeting the matters of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of transport have been discussed.

In the sphere of aviation, the Parties agreed that the matter of development of air communication will be discussed on the level of aviation administration till the end of the current year.

Regarding Memorandum between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry for Matters of Land, transport and Water Resources of the Republic Korea about cooperation in the sphere of railroads the Kazakhstan Party expressed its readiness to sign it at the nearest, as soon as it will be prepared by Korean Party.

Parties expressed their hope for successful participation of Korean Contractors in the construction of the highway “Western Europe – Western China”.

Kazakhstan Party showed its interest in the development of cooperation with the company “Samsung”, regarding introduction of new technologies and toll road. As per this matter the parties agreed about establishment of Working Consultative Group for elaboration of the mechanisms for cooperation in this direction.

Finally, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed his hope that forthcoming visit of the President of the Republic Korea will give new positive impulse in the development of trade-economical affairs between two countries.
