As the result of non-solved problems for procurement of building materials, mobilization of equipment and complete of personnel for Lot 10 in Kyzylorda Oblast, there are serious backlogs of work schedule

The length of the road section (km 1877-1917) is 40.471 km. The Main Contractor is Italian company “Todini Costruioni Generali S.p.A”. Half of all the types of works has been executed by Korean company “Dongsung Engineering Co., Ltd”. The servicing laboratory belongs to the Subcontractor.  

Quantity of earthworks, planned for 2012, was 608.95 m3. Meanwhile execution of this item in works schedule according to the results of the year, accounted for 80%. More than 82% of quantities for construction of culverts has been executed by the end of 2012.

Analysis for mobilization of road-building equipment for the road section has shown that with the demand of equipment (144 units), required for execution of work program in 2012, only 69 units have been mobilized. Mainly there is a deficit in dumpers, which, undoubtedly, influences over the common indices of execution for work schedule.

At present, i.e. during suspension of road-construction works, the works are in progress for procurement of road-building materials, where there also serious backlogs. Therefore, plan for procurement of bitumen has been carried out for 55%, crushed stone - for 59 %.

One of the non-solved problem for this road section is the lack of the required number of qualified technical and engineering employees, operators of construction machinery and other staff, as with Contractor and as with Subcontractor. Generally, it is connected with staff turnover due to the late payment of salary.
