Contractor, JSC «Salini Costruttori S.p.A», which executes civil works for Lot 4 of Kyzylorda Oblast, with target of 488.81 thousand tons for 2013, at present has procured 3.47 thousand tons of crushed stone, which means nearly nothing. Similar situation has occurred with procurement of cellular additive for crushed stone mastic asphalt.

To perform Work schedule for 2013 it has been required to mobilize 233 units of equipment. At present actual number of the equipment involved are only 122 units.

The Engineer finds the cause for low pace for arrangement of asphalt concrete mix at the site in frequent incapacitation of asphalt concrete plant of Chinese production, belonging to Subcontractor “Zhylyoistroiservice” LLP, mantled in the second half of the year 2011. Mix has been delivered from Lot 3.

To solve all the above problems Engineer’s Service finds it necessary to take measures as follows: start immediately supplying of inert materials and bitumen, establish two-shift regime of work and additionally involve Subcontractors to speed up the quantities of the executed works.

Reference: JSC «Salini Costruttori S.p.A» executes the works for km 1498-1578 (LOT 4) of Kyzylorda Oblast with the length of 80 km within Western Europe – Western China International Transit Corridor Project. Engineer: Isan Corporation/Zhol-Sapa LLP. With total Contract Amount of 12 644 918 608.2 tenge 6.642 billion tenge have been disbursed in 2010- 2012. Amount for works for 2013 is 7.410 billion tenge.
