In November 1, 2013 the Contractor, "Kazahdorstroy" LLP Shchuchinsk branch presented the subsequent object to the working committee - a new highway constructed in the framework of "Western Europe - Western China" international transit corridor.
The first Kazakhstan section of the transit corridor with the length of 215 km constructed under this project was put into operation in Irgiz area of Aktobe oblast. The reconstructed “Aktobe - Martuk – RF border (to Orenburg)” highway km 0-102 was opened to traffic for vehicles exactly a month ago in October 7, 2013.
The ceremony of putting into operation of "Northern Bypass of Aktobe" road with the length of 39.3 km was held on November 1. Construction of new bypass was started in 2011 and had strategic importance to Aktobe, which allowed connecting the reconstructed sections of the international corridor into a network.
Due to the fact that the road was constructed from scratch and runs through the land of 2 rural districts, there was a task to purchase lands from land users. Due to the work done with the support of Aktobe Akimat 10 plots were exempted without compensation, and the allocated funds were returned to the budget.
The width of the new road is 9 meters, and the construction of pavement designed for 13 tonnes per axle. Overall 4 new bridges and 3 two-level interchanges of "cloverleaf" type.
During the project implementation the Contractor involved exclusively local staff, the total number of staff in the construction season was about 500 people. All materials and products used during construction were of local content.
According to the conclusion of construction workers, the putting of “Northern Bypass" into operation not only logically linked the network into a single transport corridor, but also improved the environmental situation in terms of gas polluted air of the city, and significantly unload the city road network.
Thereon, the works on the reconstruction of 358 km of "Western Europe - Western China" international transit corridor road in the Aktobe region are completed.
