Mr. A.Issekeshev, Minister for Investment and Development of the RK having arrived in Almaty region with a working visit familiarized with the reconstruction of "Almaty-Kapshagai" road, reports BNews.kz correspondent.

This year it is planned to put into operation section with length of 10 kilometers. The road is being built according to the standards of the first technical category with cement concrete pavement. Next year it is already scheduled to open traffic on this part of the road. The work is planned fully complete in 2017.

Reconstruction of "Almaty-Kapshagai" road has started two years ago. The track is divided into four sections with a total length of 104 kilometers. It is planned that 63 kilometers of total length will be reconstructed under six lane, and the remaining 41 kilometers under the four lane. Road with cement concrete pavement will last much longer than with asphalt-concrete pavement, experts say.

In 2017, the route connecting the two major cities of Kazakhstan, will become toll road. This is justified, says Mr. Zhenis Kassymbek, Vice-Minister for Investment and Development of the RK. It is necessary to pay off huge amounts of money spent on this construction. The price may be similar to the cost of travel on the Astana - Borovoe highway.

"For example, in the absence of traffic, for example, in accordance with the design there is one traffic, but the number of cars coming is less, then the state will pay difference. If, on the contrary, the traffic will exceed, the difference will be returned to the budget"- said the Minister.

Mr. Asset Issekeshev, Minister for Investment and Development, also familiarized with the implementation of other large infrastructure projects. Paying special attention to the construction of Almaty - Khorgos road section, which makes part of Western Europe - Western China transport corridor. Next year the repair of Kurty-Burubaital section of Almaty-Astana road will be commenced, as well as reconstruction of the Big Almaty circular highway. All projects are scheduled for completion in 2017 - 2018.
