The main component of "Nurly Zhol" new economic policy according to the President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan from November 11, 2014 is the development of transport and logistics infrastructure. First of all, it is related to the implementation of major road projects such as the Western China - Western Europe; Astana-Almaty; Astana-Ust-Kamenogorsk; Astana-Aktobe - Atyrau; Almaty - Ust-Kamenogorsk; Karaganda - Zhezkazgan - Kyzylorda; Atyrau-Astrakhan.
From now in addition to the "Western Europe - Western China" project our website will also cover "Nurly Zhol" road projects.
In the framework of "Center-South" and "Center-West" road sections reconstruction projects, financed by the International financial institutions, public hearings are currently being held to discuss the social and environmental issues, familiarization with the project, which is open to all stakeholders.
In the framework of the "Center - South" project the first public hearings were held in Akshatau, Aksu-Ayuly settlements and Saryshagan village in June 5 and 6, 2015; as well as in the city of Balkhash, Gulshat village on 17 June and in Kurminka, Shyganak villages, Kashkanteniz station on 18 June of this year. Upon review and discussion of the draft environmental impact social assessment and due to the absence of objections and unanimity that the planned activity will not have a essential adverse effect on the environment and human health, the Center-South project (Astana - Karaganda - Balkhash - Almaty) has been approved.
The second public hearings under the "Center - South" project are scheduled in thre peiod of 8 to 10 July 2015 (the details are published on the website of the Ministry for Investment and Development of the RK).
Regarding the public hearings under the "Center - West" project, they are scheduled for June 29-30, 2015 in Akmola, Kostanay and Aktobe regions (see details at the website of MID RK).
