Zhetybai-Zhanaozen Road Reconstruction in Mangistau Region is Nearing Completion

They plan to complete reconstruction of the 73 km section from Zhetybai to Zhanaozen of Zhetybai-Zhanaozen-Kendirli - border of Turkmenistan by the end of 2019.

Currently, the road specialists simultaneously work on several road sections, while, traditionally, the reconstruction is carried out sequentially. After completion of construction and installation works, the first 35-kilometer road section (km 0-35) will be of Category I with 4 lanes. The General Contractor is Accord/Akzhol Kurylys JV. At the moment, the Contractor mills the existing pavement of 6 km long, and also complete the construction of reinforced concrete culverts.

The specialists of Cengiz Insaat reconstruct the remaining 28 kilometers (km 35-73). Construction of RMDs is planned on this road section in Zhanaozen and Shetpe. Here, the road workers have completed most of the construction works of the total quantity. Construction of pavement courses, culverts and road furnishing are being carried out.
