Traffic to be open on 1,373 km of roads in Kazakhstan by 2020

10,000 km of republican roads are planned to be reconstructed during the period from 2020 to 2026 to further implement the Nurly Zhol Government Program, where 1,373 km will be open next year.

Thus, under Center-South project 311 km of roads are going to be open for traffic, 37 km of Petropavlovsk-Kurgan road will be commissioned, the traffic will be allowed on 13 km under the project Center-East, 65 km on Kostanai – Denisovka road, and 160 km on Aktobe-Kandyagash-Makat. In addition, 60 km of road under the Atyrau-Astrakhan project is planned to be open next year, 32 km will be commissioned under the Osinovskiy Pass project, 384 km of road will be opened for traffic on Taldykorgan – Ust-Kamenogorsk road, and 96 km of Uzynagash-Otar as well. It is planned to commission 60 km of the Usharal-Dostyk road and 155 km of the Kalbatau-Maikapshagai road.

To remind, the road toll system will be introduced on 5,917 km of road in 2020.

The length of toll roads will be 11,700 km by 2025.
