Question №410
February 6, 2016
Aivar Bolatuly | Taraz

How do you do! I live in Taraz and every 2 days I go to Almaty through Kordai, and sometimes through the new bypass road of Otar. In last summer works on widening of this section were carried out, i.e., from 2-lane to 4-lane road, as promised by authorities. I have found out that all works under "Kordai bypass" were stopped due to the freezing of this section. I understand that now it is winter. Maybe works will be started from March? Or it is true that it is frozen for a few years, because there is no money in the budget for this section? Already constructed road is of international importance and funded accordingly not from republican budget. Or anyway the works will be started and we will drive on normal roads? And when will it be started?

Dear Aivar, in the current year it is planned to allocate funds for the implementation of the construction of the section you are interested in and to start work on the construction of the second lane of the road (40 km) with the allocation of funds. Completion of construction is planned for 2017.
