Hello, why the Almaty – Chilik road section is still not open??? It is July 2017 already? For how long shall we wait?

Dear Alnur,

The Almaty-Chilik is a part of Almaty-Khorgos road section. Starting from the late 2016 this road has been opened for traffic. Although the main road construction works have been completed on the entire road section, there are some road furnishing works and construction of road facilities being carried out today. Complex of furnishing works includes installation of fencing, road signs, lighting and marking. In order to ensure road safety during such works the temporary bypass roads have been constructed. The completion of all remaining works is expected at the end of July, meanwhile the road can alredy be used.
