Question №488
July 18, 2017
Alexander Ussachev | Almaty

Good afternoon.

Previously Alnur Pak aksed the question about opening of Almaty – Khorgos road, you answered that this road is open for traffic.

Last weekend I drove through the sections of this road, and observed ‘No Entry’ road sign everywhere, what in my opinion means no right to go.

So why do you say that ‘the road can alredy be used”

Dear Alexander,

Almaty-Khorgos part of the corridor is actually functioning, but some road furnishing works can still be carried out. The ‘No Entry’ road signs are temporary and in this case you are expected to use bypass roads.
