In addition to the No. 488 from Alexander Ussachev, I am informing you that section Almaty-Chilik (Shelek) of Almaty-Khorgos road section is not ready for operation at all. On July 28, 2017, I managed to drive through this section of the road, there have been big embankments along the entire section, in some places the concrete pavement has been open, the traffic chaotically organized, the temporary signs have been installed inaccurately, warning signs in many places missing and this was all on the section from Enbek and around 30 km long towards Chilik, that accordingly questioned traffic safety. Based on this, we cannot say about actual functioning of the road. It seems that the commentator and the road exist in parallel worlds, and answers about the actual functioning of the road mislead people thereby creating a threat to life and health. In this connection, please indicate the final date of commissioning.

Dear Askar,
Thank you for your question and the details about the section and problem you have faced. The repair works have been carried out on this particular road section. The concrete pavement opening has become necessary after the water level of Ili river rose and water came close to the road embankment and flooded it. The Contractor and Engineer have identified the quantities of repair works and carried out them in the frameworks of construction process. To date the works are already completed and the road section is open for traffic.
