- Can you print the addresses and other contact information about Subcontractors, who participate in the construction of the Road “Western Europe – Western China”. I have the list of them, but no contacts. And also, what are the main criteria, which the Subcontractors will follow while choosing the materials for the road? You know, the materials, the main advantage of which is their home manufacture, but not their quality, are often taken for the object. But this corridor will be the face of Kazakhstan, and we have favouritism only for one manufacturer. And please note, to put it mildly, the manufacturer of materials of not the best quality! What can you say regarding this matter?

And then, could you show the list of Subcontractors for the construction of railway branch line Horgos – Almaty and for other constructed railways?

- Dear Rahimzhan. As for the first part of your message, we inform you about the following. Canadian company SNC Lavalin International, Project Management Consultant, who has website “New way to Europe, works within the Project only with the Main Contractors. Any other information about Subcontractors, you are interested in, you can get from them. Contact data have been shown in the Section “Contacts”.

Regarding quality of the road-building materials, we should say that all of them without exception and without failure should comply with the requirements of Technical Specifications, adopted for the Project. In case of non-compliance of the road-building material even if for one of the parameters, irrespectively of manufacturing country, the road-building material will be rejected and not applied during implementation of the Project.

Yes, the preference is made to the home manufacturer’s product, but only in case of its compliance with the requirements of Technical Specifications.
Unfortunately, till date there is no opportunity to apply the materials only of home manufacturer for 100% and, respectively, fixed amount of the materials has been imported outside the Republic of Kazakhstan. And the decision about suitability and application of one or another road-building material has been made by Contractor or Engineer.

And, at last, regarding the rest of your question. If you are familiar with the content of the site, then you, for sure, have noticed that only Project for “Reconstruction of International Transit Corridor “Western Europe – Western China” has been covered in detail. Or rather, this website has been designed aiming at the support of the Project.
