- When are they planning to start construction at the section Shymkent – Border of Zhambyl Oblast? Thank you!

Design and survey works were executed before for that section, and working project for construction has been developed. The section has been divided into two contracts (km 593-632 and km 632-674).

In accordance with the development of perspective with heavy traffic of vehicles, the section of the highway “Shymkent – Border of Zhambyl Oblast” will be constructed for the first technical category with 4-lane traffic.

At present the matter o financing of this project is under consideration of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

In this connection, the commencement of works for reconstruction of this road section depends on time of endorsement of the finance sources and conducting of tender procedures. Tentatively, all the above procedures should be completed in the fourth quarter of the current year.
