Will the construction of approaches to Taraz city be started this year? What type of coating will be there and will the tight control for quality be implemented, as for the main road? Thank you!

- Project “Reconstruction of Transit Corridor Western Europe – Western China” provides Taraz By-Pass (km 483-km.536). This Project does not provide construction of access roads to Taraz city.

Construction works on section “Taraz city By-Pass” has been planned to start in November 2011. Section consists of 2 starting complexes. The first starting complex is of 1B technical category with concrete coating with the length of 7.7 km along the existing road (km. 483-km 491) with 4-lane traffic. The second starting complex is the construction of Taraz By-Pass itself (km 491-km 536) is of 2 technical category with the length of 57.42 km with 2-lane traffic with asphalt concrete coating.

Control will be made in accordance with the requirements of construction standards of the RK by the company, which was awarded with the Contract for these works, Construction Supervision Consultants. Moreover, the quality of the executed works will be controlled by “Zhambylzhol Laboratory”, Regional Department of COR and Team of Project Management Consultant.
