And, at last, for Your question, You are interested in, regarding road section “Almaty-Khorgos”, we inform You as follows.

Initially, Reconstruction Project of the highway “Almaty-Khorgos” was planned to implement on the concession base. Ministry of Transport and Communications of the RK has conducted tender for determination of the concessioner. Concern in the participation in tender has been shown by only one company. Negotiations with the potential concessioner lasted for a year and a half, however, the conditions of the company, submitted the bid, proved to be unacceptable, as the price of the bid was a little bit higher. Based on the above, the decision has been made to exclude Reconstruction Project of the highway “Almaty-Khorgos” from the list of concession and attract loan of the Financial Institutions. At present, the procedures for attraction of loans has been started, after which tender for determination of the Contractor will be conducted. Road-construction works have been planned for summer 2012.
