Dear Arman! To your question, regarding opening of the road section “Kainar – Oital”, we inform you as follows. Flow of traffic along the route “Almaty – Taraz – Shymkent” within road section “Kainar – Oital” of Zhambyl Oblast has been closed for transit transport from October 29, 2010. Flow of traffic is carried out along the route “Kainar – Shu – Oital”.

These measures have been taken aiming at safety for the state border, where the existing road two times crosses the territory of Kyrgyz Republic. At present, Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Transport and Communications has developed the design for reconstruction of this road section passing around sections of neighbouring country. Road section “Kainar – Oital” has been divided into two sections.

Construction works are already under construction at the section for km 310-359 by the company «КСС» (Korea), and flow of traffic will be open for two lanes in the third quarter of 2012.

Bidding procedures are conducted for selection of Contractor for road section at km 260 – 310, and signing of the Contract is expected till March 2012. This Contractor will also be instructed to open flow of traffic by the end of 2012.

Till opening of flow along a new alignment by-pass section “Kainar – Shu – Oital” will be maintained by GI “Kazakhavtodor” for provision of uninterrupted and safe traffic. Committee for Roads apologizes for the provided temporary inconveniences, connected with performance of construction works.
