- When is the construction planned for Almaty – Khorgos, and what are the plans for construction?

Dear Khalmurat! The length of the reconstructed road section “Almaty – Khorgos” is 304 km, it is divided into 8 Lots. At present negotiations are conducted with the World Bank for granting of loan. After completion of negotiations the announcement will be given regarding competitive tendering to determine the Contractors, which will be carried out in 2 stages. Works for reconstruction will start tentatively in the second half of 2012.
