Question №185
August 9, 2012
Larisa Skripachyova | Almaty Oblast, Talgar raion, Kuishi Baiserke village

I would like to have more detailed information for road section “Almaty-Khorgos”, which will be located in Kuishi Baiserke village area. Will the road pass through new land plots and agricultural lands, or only the existing two-lane road will be widened? There is no map for the road “Almaty-Khorgos” in the website http://europe-china.kz. Affected people of the villages have the right to know where the road will located and there the interchange will be. It would be better if there is more transparency in this matter. Thanks in advance.

The designed road “Almaty – Khorgos” will pass around settlements and provides rehabilitation of existing and construction of a new road, which respectively supposes acquisition of land plots, including agricultural lands of owners and land users. At present acquisition of land plots has been completed for 98 %. This work has been carried out by Akimat of Almaty Oblast.

To provide publicity of the project overall 10 public hearings have been conducted (in Enbekshikazakh, Panfilov, Talgar, Ili and Uigur districts), during which various matters regarding project implementation have been discussed, including plan of the route. To obtain the detailed scheme of road passage with description of settlements, you can apply directly to Almaty regional Department for Roads, MTC, located at the address: Almaty city, Rozybakiev St., 289 and Taldykorgan city, Shevchenko St., 131.
