Alexei Smirnov | Russian Federation , Astrakhan

How do you do! We are planning trip from Russia to Kazakhstan, I would like to clarify the current state of the road from Uralsk to Shymkent whether there are many detours? What kind are these detours (gravel road or existing asphalt). Is it possible to drive by vehicle?

Dear Alexei, currently the general condition of the road in the direction from Uralsk to Shymkent is good except for the section of the road from the border of Aktobe region to Kyzylorda, where there are some bypasses (gravel sand base) with a total length of 200 km, the road is open to all types of vehicles traffic.
