Dear Bekzat, the project is funded by five International Financial Institutions such as Asian Development Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Islamic Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and World Bank.

The aim of the project is to increase transport efficiency and increased safety for South-West transit corridor. The positive effect of the project is as follows:

• The rapid socio-economic development at the local and regional level

• Increased safety, reducing of the number of accidents

• Reduce time and money costs of travel

• Increased international trade volume, since the road will be used as an international transit corridor

• Development and integration of the regions of Kazakhstan, adjacent to the road

• Increase sales of locally produced goods shipped to Western Europe and Western China
