How do you do! I would like to know which section s of Almaty-Turkestan road are completed and which sections are under reconstruction? We would like to visit Turkestan in February with my family. And is it is possible could you please send me the map of completed sections of road, because we are from Semei and we do not know the route very well. Thank you in advance!

Dear Dastan, construction works in Zhambyl oblast of Western Europe – Western China project has completed already, except for the section “Taraz bypass” with the length of 65 km. This section is planned to be completed by August 2015, but there is an existing passage through Taraz city.

Regarding South-Kazakhstan oblast section “Shymkent – Zhambyl oblast border” with the length of 79 km it is planned to complete in September 2015. The construction works in the Shymkent – Turkestan section are completed and the road is open for traffic in the length of 224 km.
