Question №366
April 22, 2015
Elena Golova | Almaty region, Talgar district

When will Kuldzha track be repaired? It is impossible to drive, the pothole depth of 10-15 cm, the road from the city to the airport ring road is in good condition, but from the ring road and further there are a lot of potholes. We pay transport taxes regularly, but the roads are repaired only in the city, the asphalt can be replaced at one section three times a year, and we lose wheels and break cars. We shall wait until Almaty-Khorgos road will be completed, but how shall we travel? When going round the pothole people have an accident, and there are traffic jams in the mornings and evenings. We drive 20 km/h and it takes 1.5 hours.

Dear Elena, Kuldzha tract is not part of "Western Europe - Western China" international transit corridor and our website is dedicated to this project only. Following the completion of "Almaty-Khorgos" road construction next year, maybe construction or overhaul of Kuldzha tract will be commenced depending on traffic flow rate.
