Within the framework of “Nurly Zhol” program implementation, 11 road projects are stipulated until 2020 with the total cost of 2.4 trn KZT, said Deputy Chairman of the Transport Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan, Dmitry Potlov during the press conference at Central Communications Service, BNews.kz reports.
“Nurly Zhol” program stipulates implementation of 11 road projects with the total cost of 2.4 trn KZT. It is planned to cover by reconstruction over 7 thousand km of roads," said D.Potlov.
Road projects will be implemented under “radial” principle from the capital further to all directions: Center – South, Center – East, Center – West. The overall completion of works is planned until 2020.
“Western Europe – Western China” International Transit Corridor is an important project oriented to attraction of transit cargo, which we plan to complete in 2016. Today the section from Russian border to border of South Kazakhstan oblast is open under the project, so we have the possibility to transport cargo by modern roads to Russia and Central Asia, he explained.
