Completion of tunnel construction is planned at the end of 2016

Dena Rahsaz/Sargin JV is constructing the road section between km 593 to km 632 consisting of 40 km road and 800 m of tunnel.

And according to the Engineer «Temelsu» in association with «Consult Ltd» LLP it is planned to complete construction of tunnel at the end of 2016.

State Expertise conclusion has been received under №01-0646/14 dated 20 October 2014.

To date the following works have been performed:

Drilled (along chainage):

Right side – 411,7 m out of 691 m (59%)

Left side – 672,25 m out of 691 m (97%)

Service tunnel – 51 m out of 111 m (46%)

Concrete placed (crown):

Right side – 0 m out 791 m (0%)

Left side – 124,7 m out of 791 m (16%)

Shotcrete was constructed in the volume of 7600 m3. Overall 2650 pcs. of supports, 48 500 m2 of grid, 10000 rm of auxiliary bars for strengthening of crown were installed.

The following road building machinery and equipment is involved in the construction of tunnel:

- Horizontal drilling machine – 3 units,

- Vertical drilling machine – 3 units,

- Bulldozer – 1 unit,

- Excavator – 5 units,

- Loader – 3 units,

- Dump – 5 units,

- Compressor – 3 units

- Generator – 4 units

- Equipment for the application of shotcrete – 3 units

- Water carrier – 7 units

- Concrete mixing station 40 m3/hour – 1 unit

- Concrete mixer – 3 units

- Blowholes – 5 units

30 people, including 5 foreign and 25 local staff are working in the construction of tunnel.
