Construction of the Nur Zhol Border Checkpoint on the border between Kazakstan and China to be completed by the end of 2017

To construct the border checkpoint on the border between the Republic of Kazakhstan and People’s Republic of China, the Ministry for Investments and Development of RK in 2015 determined the Eurotransit Terminal as an investor to finace the construction. As of today, the land plots have been transferred to the investor and the construction works are carried out at full pace. As a reminder, the construction of the border crossing point is a part of the Western Europe – Western China Corridor Project. Therefore, the Corridor will start functioning in full measure in the late 2017.

Nur Zhol Border Checkpoint has strategic implication since the Kazakhstani part of the Corridor is a connecting link between China and Russia.
