Currently, the reconstruction works are carried out along the entire Taldykorgan – Kalbatau-Ust-Kamenogorsk road. The works are performed by the construction consortium Todini Central Asia LLP, K-Dorstroi JSC, CITIC Construction Co, and LTD (Leaderin Consortium).

So, the road workers constructed Bypasses, more than 1,000 m3 of the Earthworks and 50 nos. of Culverts on the road section from km 615 to 1073.

In addition, this year the road workers will complete 26.7 km of subgrade, 21 km of C-4 crushed-sand mixture subbase course, and 13 km of binder and asphalt courses.

The main purpose of the road reconstruction is to change the road Category from III to II, by widening carriageway up to 9 meters where the speed limit will be up to 120 km/h to ensure safe and uninterrupted traffic.

It should be noted that the construction of the road will lead to economic growth in the region and related areas.
