The total length of the Balkhash-Burylbaital republican road in Zhambyl oblast is 147 km.

Currently, road construction works are going ahead full throttle on three road sections. To date, road workers have completed removal of topsoil on 15 km of the road, and continue to carry out the earthworks.

The Project includes construction of 10 bridges and railway overpasses, 109 culverts, rest areas along the road and covered bus stops near inhabited localities. After reconstruction, Balkhash-Burylbaital road section will correspond to Category I with 4 lanes and vehicular guardrail along the road centerline.

In total, 204 nos. of Equipment and 316 Personnel are involved in construction.

Completion of theworks on the entire length of the road is planned in 2022.
