The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin visited the East Kazakhstan and Almaty oblasts, where he reviewed the implementation of major infrastructure projects and the Government’s development programs.
In the East Kazakhstan oblast, Askar Mamin inspected the implementation of the Ust-Kamenogorsk - Taldykorgan road project, and the traffic along the entire length (768 km) is planned to be opened by the end of this year. Meanwhile, the reconstruction of the Kalbatau – Maikapshagai road is underway, where the traffic will be opened on all 415 kilometers of the road by the end of the year.
In Almaty oblast, the Head of the Government has been reported on the reconstruction of the eastern section of the 314 km Taldykorgan – Ust-Kamenogorskroad, as well as on the status of the 180 km Usharal – Dostyk road project with a length of.
The Prime Minister gave an instruction to expedite the progress of construction work on the roads of the East-Kazakhstan and Almaty oblasts. At the same time, the Head of the Government has emphasized the importance of the quality of construction, its assurance and the commissioning of the road infrastructure this year.
The road infrastructure projects inspected create additional opportunities for the development of the transport industry. Popularization of the “Center-South” route as a transit corridor will allowincreasing the traffic volume and in the future may become a new economic growth point. The road reconstruction works will improve the road safety, the environmental situation in the settlements and areas near the roads, and also stimulate the development of roadside services, creating new jobs.
