Seven sections of roads in Kazakhstan will be paid from November 23

Orders on the introduction of tolls on the roads were registered with the justice authorities.

Seven sections of highways of republican significance will become paid from November 23, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development reports.

The ministry noted that today a toll collection system is operating on seven sections of republican highways of the first category with four-lane traffic: Nur-Sultan - Pavlodar, Kapshagai - Taldykorgan, Taraz - Kainar, Shymkent - Taraz, Shymkent - Kyzylorda, Shymkent - Tashkent, Shchuchinsk - Kokshetau.

“Orders on the introduction of payment for the above sections have passed the state registration procedure with the justice authorities and will come into force on November 23 of this year. Accordingly, from this day on, fares will be charged,” the MIID said.

Previously, the above sections of roads were planned to be paid from November 1, after this period was postponed to November 15. Acceptance of payment for travel on new roads will be open: there will be no barriers on them, and drivers will pay for travel through mobile applications to personal accounts linked to car numbers. The project also provides for the issuance of special tags, the signal from which will read the control arches.
