Will the tariff for travel on toll roads be increased in Kazakhstan?

The issue of increasing the tariff only for transit trucks of foreign countries is being considered.

An increase of the tariff for toll roads for Kazakhstan drivers is not planned, the Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development said. Such rumors began to spread in messengers.

The department emphasized that the information about the increase in the cost of the passage of trucks up to 400 tenge/km is not true.

“The issue of increasing the tariff only for freight transit vehicles of foreign countries is being considered. The initiative is preliminary considered taking into account international legislation. The decision will bring healthy competition among local companies,” the committee said.

The relevant bodies develop unified and transit tariffs for travel on toll road sections. The Committee asked citizens not to succumb to provocations.
