In the current year, in accordance with the plan of financing, 153.4 billion KZT are planned to disburse and 750 km of new road are planned to arrange, including 326 km of I category and 424 km of II category. Contractors have been determined for 32 road sections and the works are executed for 1 715 km. Bidding procedures are conducted for 3 road sections with the length of 98 км (“Temirlan By-pass”, “Kordai-Karasu”, “Aspara-Blagoveshchenka”).
Overall for the project 30.3 thousand people (including local staff of 17.8 thousand people, from regions of Kazakhstan 11.9 thousand people, and international staff of 615 people) and 6 thousand units of road-building equipment, including 24 asphalt concrete plants, 24 cement concrete plants and 33 crushers have been mobilized.
17.8 million cubic meters of roadbed (64 % of target for 2011), 542.9 km of subbase (48% of target for 2011год), 480 km of base (42% of target for 2011), 320.2 km of the first
layer from asphalt concrete mix (39% of target for 2011), 341.7 km of binder course from asphalt concrete mix (40% of target for 2011), 8.5 km of wearing course from fine-grained asphalt concrete mix (34% of target for 2011) and 119 km of cement concrete pavement (37% of target for 2011).
Overall 58.7 billion KZT should be disbursed within implementation of the Project “Western Europe – Western China” to the end of the current year. Including for Aktobe Oblast – 4.3 billion KZT, Kyzylorda Oblast – 33 billion KZT, South-Kazakhstan Oblast – 11.3 billion KZT and Zhambyl Oblast – 10.1 billion KZT.
