Berik Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with Anatoliy Chabunin, Chairman of Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders.

On the 6th of October, 2011, Berik Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with Anatoliy Chabunin, Chairman of Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders of CIS countries ICR), leader of the Federal Road Agency of the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation.

B. Kamaliev informed about progress of project implementation of International Transit Corridor “Western Europe – Western China” and asked his Russian colleague to tell about the work, executed in this direction in Russian Federation.

A. Chabunin, in his turn, told about the prospective alternatives of the route for the Project “Western Europe – Western China”, passing through Russian territory, as well as tentative periods for implementation.

Having exchanged by their opinions, the parties came to the conclusion regarding necessity for discussion of that matter by B. Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications, and I. Levitin, Minister of Transport of the RF.
